Hello, everyone. Tyler Ford, Tucson, Arizona, EXP Realty. I’m with Heather. She is the Account Rep for 2-10 Home Warranty Southern Arizona. And today, we’re going to be talking about the Appliance Suite and what you get with your home warranty. And there’s a lot to it, so I’m going to turn it over to Heather and let her explain.
Heather:
Thank you. So in our Home Service Agreement, on pages four and five, we have our Appliance Suite category. And one of the top things that we do with 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty is we have an appliance color match. It’s not customary for home warranty companies to match the exact color. They usually replace an appliance with black or white. So with 2-10, we do have the ability of just saying that we’re going to try our best to match a replacement color of whatever you had in there. So that is that’s fantastic. Also, we have something called an appliance discount program. This is where we will provide to our sellers and our buyers, a log-in for a GE and Whirlpool website, where you can actually get up to 65% off. So if you have a need for any other appliances in your home, or if you just wanted to replace, then that’s been a very, very successful program to give some significant discounts.
Heather:
And then finally, we’ve got something called Appliance Replacement Offer. This is where if a homeowner just doesn’t even want to mess with the repair to replacement process that’s introduced through the warranty, what they can do is they can actually save their service fee, let us know that they would like to take advantage of the Appliance Replacement Offer, and then we will send them $100. They’ll receive a check in the mail for $100. So technically they have $175 that they can apply to buy a new dishwasher, for example, if they just didn’t want to mess with the replacement or the repair to the replacement. So it’s just a really fantastic other option. I personally like to still use the home warranty so that we can try and repair it. And if we don’t repair, we replace it. But usually, the people that take advantage of that is where they’re stressed for time, and they want something emergency right now. So it’s good.
Tyler:
That’s cool. So I have a couple of questions. I learned a few things on the website. So if I heard this correctly if you would just want to go buy an appliance, you can log on with … You get a log on code and you can shop on their website and get a discount regardless?
Heather:
Yeah. So once we enroll either seller side or buyer side, there’s going to be access into the homeowner portal. And once the seller logs into their homeowner portal, or the buyer logs into their homeowner portal, then they’ll be able to take advantage of that code, which is going to be on their front screen of their portal.
Tyler:
That’s cool. And then if somebody wants to take advantage of the discount, let’s say they don’t want somebody to come out and repair, does somebody off to come out? And do you have to prove that there’s something wrong, in order to get that discount code?
Heather:
No. The moment that they placed the service request, all they do is just let us know that they want to take advantage of that Appliance Replacement Offer. So there is an ability on the portal, once they’re placing a claim, it’ll pop up a screen that asks them if they want to take advantage of the Appliance Replacement Offer, or when they’re placing the claim with a service provider, then that’s an option with them too.
Tyler:
That’s kind of cool. So if an appliance is on its last leg, even though it could be repaired, you could use that credit to go get a brand new appliance.
Heather:
Yes.
Tyler:
All right. That is cool. I learned something. Our dishwasher’s about on the blink. So I might have to get the credit and go buy a new one.
Heather:
Yeah. You’re going to go to 2-10.com, and then you’re just going to log into your homeowner portal. If you haven’t already registered, you’ll want to do that. And then you’ll get a code. And you can go do some shopping. I personally did some shopping comparison, and it turned out that I got, they advertise up to 65% off, but what I was purchasing, which was a standalone microwave, I did get up get at least 45% of a discount. So was pretty nice.
Tyler:
Oh, that’s cool. So at the bottom of this post, we’ll have the flyer and all the details to the Appliance Suite. So thanks for sharing. And I learned something, and we’ll get this out, and it’s just amazing. There’s so much to home warranties. A lot of people don’t even know what they’re getting. And every time I talk to you, I learn something new, even though I have a home warranty.
