Tyler:
Hey, everyone. Tyler Ford here at eXp Realty, Tucson. I’m with Heather. She is the account rep for 2-10, and every time I jump on one of these webinars to share with people about all the things that 2-10 Home Warranty has to offer, I learn something new. This one, I had no idea, and it’s pretty cool and I bet you a lot of people don’t even know about it. It’s called Even If, and I’m going to let Heather explain what Even If means.
Heather:
Thank you. In our home service agreement, we have a portion, which is on page four, that talks about the “Even If” service fee guarantee. It’s down here on the very bottom here. Even If means that even if a service request is placed, and if it’s not eligible for coverage, then we will give the service fee back. The service fee price currently is $75. That’s the driving fee to have the service provider come to the home. I personally had a leak at the front of my house. My neighbor told me I was watering the neighborhood. At the time that I got to the home, I met the plumber there at the same time and they said, “Oh, so sorry, this is your irrigation valve and it’s not eligible for coverage.” I had paid him the $75 service fee and I thought, that’s okay.
Heather:
With 2-10, we’re the only home warranty company that will give the service fee back. So, even though irrigation is not something typically covered at all with a home warranty company, then I just knew it’s okay, I’ve got peace of mind. I’m going to get my money back. That’s one of the greatest things that we have as an industry exclusive with 2-10 home buyers warranty. The other portion of the Even If is that if the covered part is serviced and fails again within the duration of the home service agreement, another service fee will not be due.
Heather:
We expect our service providers to do the work right the first time. We’re human, sometimes the repairs don’t always hold, but just know that we do have a guarantee there that we will make sure to not charge another service fee if the same failure happens again. Typically, home warranty companies have a 30- or 60-day guarantee, but with us, it’s whatever is left on the time of the home service agreement. So, if they have a claim in the very beginning at the first month in, then they’ve got 11 more months to have that guarantee, which is fantastic. So, thank you.
Tyler:
That’s pretty cool. So, they have nothing to lose. What if somebody re-ups their home warranty at the end of the year? Does it follow them forever as long as it’s-
Heather:
At renewal time? I’m not exactly sure what the renewal product is, and if the renewal product does offer the Even If service fee guarantee and also the Even If, but I do know that for our resell transaction that we provide, Tyler, the real estate agents in the real estate transaction, when they provide this plan, it does include the Even If service fee guarantee and the Even If coverage.
Tyler:
That is good to know. I learned something new again, so I appreciate it. Yeah, I just want to thank Heather and we’ll keep these up. We’re just educating people in terms of what they get from their home warranty so that they can utilize every bit of what they’re paying for, because there’s a lot to a home warranty and a lot of people really don’t know what they’re getting.
Heather:
Absolutely. Thank you.
Tyler:
All right. Thanks, Heather.
Heather:
Thank you so much for your time.
