The short version

What changed in October 2025

  • Jeannine Grippo became HOA2 board president after an August board realignment, promising documented governance and tighter spending discipline.
  • Two board seats are up: voting runs October 27 to noon November 17, with a candidate forum October 24 at DVPAC.
  • A member vote to raise the Community Improvement Fund fee ended in a 1120-1120 tie, so the fee stays where it is.
  • Through August the golf subsidy was $207,466, down from $831,305 a year earlier, and income before depreciation was $714,262.
  • 2026 golf rates go on sale in October; fitness classes stay at $8 ($10 for SGT).
  • The Preserve Fine Dining won Best Fine Dining in the 2025 AZ Daily Star Readers’ Choice awards.
What it means for buyers

The HOA is in a governance reset with a new president focused on fiscal discipline, and members just declined (by a tie) to raise the capital-improvement fee. Amenity subsidies are shrinking, which supports dues stability going into the 2026 budget. The November issue carries the 2026 assessment.
