The short version

What changed in May 2025

  • Summer golf rates started May 1 at MountainView: $49 for 18 holes and $29 for 9 holes or twilight, with Canyon Card holders paying $39 and $22.
  • The Rules & Regulations Committee clarified that an RV may sit in your driveway or street for only three days and two nights in a row within any seven-day period without a permit.
  • The ALC confirmed whole-house generators remain prohibited, pointing owners to battery backup systems instead, after Trico reported that 96 % of outages last three hours or less.
  • Through March the HOA posted $215,525 of net income against a budgeted loss of $538,101, with golf $296,552 ahead.
  • The MountainView parking lot and Clubhouse Drive were being milled and repaved in early May, with temporary detours.
  • Larry Wiley took over as Director of Common Area Maintenance.
What it means for buyers

Rules on RVs and backup power are stricter than many newcomers expect, so factor them in before you buy if you travel in an RV or rely on medical equipment. On the money side, a third straight month of amenity profits keeps pressure off dues.

The details, item by item

RV parking rule (Sec. 5.03 B) RVs (resident or guest) may be parked parallel on the street in front of the home or in the driveway for a maximum of three daytime and two nighttime periods, consecutive, within a seven-day period; cannot be split up. Longer stays need an extension permit from the Administration Office; Patrol can grant extensions when the office is closed. No part of an RV may extend past the driveway onto the street or sidewalk.
Whole-house generators: still not permitted Board voted Sept 2021 against whole-house generators; after a March 2025 Trico Electric Co-op presentation (96 % of outages last 3 hours or less) the ALC confirmed they remain NOT PERMITTED unless a variance is granted for ADA / Fair Housing need. Home battery backup (with or without solar) is the encouraged route; ALC will revisit if Trico offers a generator service.
Summer golf rates (from May 1) MountainView: $49 daily, $29 9-hole / twilight / super twilight; Canyon Card holders $10 off 18 ($39 net) and $7 off 9/twilight ($22 net); Seasonal Unlimited players must buy a Canyon Card or pay the resident rate. Tee times 7:00 am, shotguns 7:30 am; walking on the course only before 7:00 am and after 5:00 pm. Get Golf Ready May 10–17, $125.
MV parking lot and Clubhouse Drive paving May 1: golf-side MV parking lot closed for milling/grading; paving May 6 (no parking or driving on paved areas; golf-car lot open); detours via MountainView Blvd, E. Terrance Wind Dr, Desert Terrace Dr; more closures to follow for the Clubhouse Drive project.
